The ETS Turnbull Scholarship honors the presidency (1970-1980) of William Turnbull. Hallmarks of Turnbull’s presidency were quality, research, and service at ETS. Turnbull developed and implemented extremely strong standards of quality. He financed some of the basic research that is the foundation for computer-based testing and developed the National Arts Recognition Program.

 

The Eric L. Toub Memorial Scholarship was established in 1987.  It memorializes Eric Toub who died in an automobile accident on December 6, 1986 at the age of 20. Eric was a caring person who enjoyed sharing his time and energy by helping others. The Eric L. Toub Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a career in a technical field who exhibits the qualities of thoughtfulness and helping others. 

 

The John Hobgood Memorial Scholarship pays tribute to John Hobgood, a long time CDA Board Member and an integral part of CDA’s fund raising efforts. John passed away suddenly in July, 2008 while participating in the New Jersey State Triathlon in Mercer County. John was also Treasurer of the Montgomery/Rocky Hill Rotary Club, and was dedicated to the Rotary and its motto "Service Above Self". The John Hobgood Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates the qualities of determination, professionalism, and commitment.

 

The Edward Jerome (Jerry) Moylan Memorial Scholarship honors Jerry’s memory by providing a scholarship to individuals who share Jerry’s passions for cooking or computer/information technology.  Jerry was a graduate of the Chubb Institute and the Chief Information Officer at the American Academy of CME.  He died in 2001 from complications of diabetes.

The Kesner Dufresne Jr. Memorial Scholarship pays tribute to the life of Kesner Dufresne, a member of the Rotary Club of the Princeton Corridor who died suddenly at the age of 35. Kesner was Chairperson of the Club’s Service Committee, was also active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mercer County and the Mercer County Community College Foundation.  His fellow Rotarians established the fund in his name to be awarded to a student who has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of others through community service.
